Company coming to visit in a motor home with dog, no kids. Which is the best campground to use? They are in their late 50's. Thanks.

What do they like? If they like peace and quiet, I can suggest some campgrounds. If they want to be in the middle of the action, I can suggest others. Baldwin County has some of the best campgrounds in the U.S.

The campground of County Road 6 is a good compromise. I can't remember the name right off. You turn off Hwy 59 onto County Road 6. Go about 100 yards and the campground is on the left. It is not too far from the beach, but not too close. You have Target close by for groceries, etc. Books-A-Million is a pleasant outing for coffee and reading. The Cobb theater is a great place for RVers to go on a rainy day.

Luxury RV Resort and the state park are great places close to the beach. Wales West is one of the most unusual and very pleasant places but it is near Fairhope off of CR 9. The park is a recreation of a Welsh village with a actual steam locomotive running around the park. It has a lake for fishing and swimming. The lake has a white beach for sunning.

Find out what they like and/or want to do and reply back or shoot me a private message.

Where on 9 is Wales West? I have never heard of that. They just like to relax, cook out on the grill, and enjoy the scenery and some fishing. I was thinking more like the state park but now maybe that Wales West might be the one. Thanks so much.

Turn west off of Hwy 59 on to County Road (CR) 32. Go 5.6 miles to the intersection of CR 32 and CR 9. Turn north (right) on to CR 9. Go about 2.3 miles. Wales West will be on your right.
